KLG Files Lawsuit on Behalf of 10 Housing Nonprofits Challenging Rescission of HUD Housing Counseling Funding; Court Grants TRO

Along with Democracy Defenders and Jacobson Lawyers Group, Klubes Law Group filed a lawsuit in federal court in DC on behalf of 10 non-profit organizations that provide housing support services challenging the Trump Administration's illegal and unconstitutional rescission of HUD housing counseling funding. The next day, Judge Cobb of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia granted a temporary restraining order suspending the September 30 deadline for obligating or awarding those funds under the appropriations law so until the Court rules on the fully briefed motion for preliminary relief.
